Mindful Therapy for Emotional Health

At Mindful Therapy, I offer therapy for a range of issues, including trauma, abuse, grief, bereavement and addiction. The nature of my work focuses around the individual and their own experiences rather than any diagnoses they may have. As such, I ask clients to get in touch with me for a free 15 minute phone/video consultation prior to booking an appointment to ensure that my service would meet your needs.

My name is Rachel, I am a qualified person-centred therapist, with a Masters in clinical counselling. I strongly believe in a person's capacity to navigate life's obstacles by drawing upon their own personal experiences and capabilities.  I have over 7 years’ experience in a variety of mental health and wellbeing roles. I have spent a significant period of this time working with vulnerable adults within the charity sector. I have supported a wide range of different client groups around their mental health, and employment needs and have worked with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and communities as well as people with learning disabilities. I have experience working with people suffering with bereavement and loss, anxiety and low mood, trauma and addiction.

I offer a warm, empathic and safe space in which you are able to explore any issues you wish to bring to therapy. Therapy sessions are delivered in a non-judgemental and non-directive manner where the empowerment of the client is very literally at the core of the process.

One Step Closer...

I acknowledge the potential apprehension associated with initiating therapy, especially with someone unfamiliar. To ease this process, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone/video consultation. This informal conversation allows me to learn more about your counselling expectations, ensuring that my skills align with your needs. It also provides you with the chance to gauge our potential collaboration, ask questions, and decide if you wish to proceed with an initial appointment.
